School Age Subsidy program supports families financially with child care costs until January 2021. This program is separate and distinct from the State Child Care Scholarship program (CCS) and the County Working Parents Assistance program (WPA). If your child(ren) are already in those subsidy programs, you are ELIGIBLE for this new program and it would complement their existing subsidy making child care even more affordable. The program requires a separate application, proof of enrollment in any other subsidy program(WPA, CCS)and appropriate documentation that can be uploaded to the online application. Families who meet the following eligibility requirements may apply:
- Must be MontgomeryCounty resident and the child is enrolled in a MCPS school.
- Actively attend a full-day child care program. (We can help you get enrolled in KidsCo)
- Have income levels at or below 400% of the federal poverty level.
- Have applied for state and local child care subsidies.
